Spawning fish in Rock Creek Park just outside Georgetown. The annual spring spawn of fish returning to their breeding grounds from the Atlantic came to an end in the early 1900's due to various obstructions and pollution along the Potomac and Rock Creek. Recent environmental clean-up work has resulted in the resumption of this annal spring ritual. Smartphone video. I call this photo, shot in April 2018: "Rock Creek Spawn"
