This is a third shot of the Daniel Chester French's plaster working model of the Lincoln memorial at the National Gallery of Art.

I call this digital photo, taken in March 2009:

This is the fourth shot of the working model.

French has placed Lincoln in a ceremonial classical chair. On the front of the chair are bundled rods called Fasces - an ancient Roman symbol of stength through unity (ie. a bundle of rods has more strength than a single rod.)
