This a a photo of "Multiverse" - a temporary art installation currently on view by Leo Villareal in the subterranean walkway connecting the East Building of the National Gallery of Art to the West Building. It is scheduled to be up for one year. In the distance is the East Building. I call this digital photograph, taken in November 2008: "Walkway." Jan 2010: Multiverse has been entered into the permanent collection of the National Gallery.

	This is the installation from another angle. The lights are not static, but turn on and off in complex patterns. This pattern reminds me of the Milky Way galaxy as I saw it as a child in Nairobi, Kenya. I call this photo, also taken in November, 2008: "Walkway - 2."
