For many years now, one of the first things that a person saw while traveling over the Anacostia river into Southeast Washington, DC was this iconic abandoned bakery; - "La Marseillaise: French Bakery" (1800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE). It's now fenced off and probably scheduled for demolition.
