On the right is a 1932 marble bas-relief depicting The Tragedie of Julius Caesar at the Folger Shakespeare Library (East Capital and 2nd Streets, SE). The Folger Library and its collection of rare documents related to the poet is the brainchild of Standard Oil magnate Henry Clay Folger (1857 - 1930) who died two years prior to its completion.
This sculpture, by John Gregory depicting the assassination of Julius Caesar is one of a set of nine bas-reliefs that frame the library: - each relief depicting a different play.
