The U.S. Supreme Court building (1935): - a fine example of the Beaux-Arts or Roman Classical architecture that bloomed in the nations' capital after the completion of Union Station.
This is Federal DC - or simply Washington. DC proper is rowhouses and townhouses in the Georgetown mold - a sleepy southern hamlet (or cluster of hamlets) ...

One block down the street is the Court of Neptune Fountain in front of the Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress (Independence and 1st, SE). It was completed in 1898 by Ronald Hinton Perry.
